       Classic Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

3 ripe bananas
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4x8 inch loaf pan.

In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Set aside.

In a separate large mixing bowl, mix the melted butter and baking soda. The mixture will foam up, so make sure to use a bowl that's big enough.

Add the pinch of salt, granulated sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture. Stir well to combine.

Stir in the mashed bananas.

Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the mixture. Stir gently until the flour is just incorporated. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Once baked, remove the banana bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.

After cooling slightly, gently run a butter knife around the edges of the bread to loosen it from the pan. Then, carefully remove the bread from the pan and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the banana bread is completely cooled, you can slice and enjoy!

Optional Add-ins:

Feel free to get creative with your banana bread by adding in nuts (such as chopped walnuts or pecans), chocolate chips, or dried fruits. Simply fold them into the batter before pouring it into the loaf pan.

Storage:

To keep your banana bread fresh, wrap it in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and store it at room temperature for up to 3 days. You can also freeze banana bread for longer storage; just make sure it's well-wrapped to prevent freezer burn.

Enjoy your delicious homemade banana bread!
